Ambush Carjacking: Four Arrested In Woodbridge

Four people have been arrested and are being held without bond for an ambush carjacking Sept. 20 in Woodbridge: PWC Police

WOODBRIDGE, VA — Four people have been arrested and are being held without bond for an ambush carjacking Sept. 20 on Georgetown Road, according to Princess William County Police. The first suspect was arrested Sept. 20 and the final suspect was arrested Thursday.

  • James Leggett. Jr., 24, of the 3100 block of Chesapeake Drive in Dumfries, was charged with one count of carjacking, two counts of malicious wounding by mob, 1 count of conspiracy to commit a carjacking, two counts of conspiracy to commit malicious wounding by mob and two counts of use of a firearm in commission of a felony.
  • Tyree Thomas Carroll, 24, of no fixed address, was charged with one count of carjacking, two counts of malicious wounding by mob, one count of conspiracy to commit a carjacking, two counts of conspiracy to commit malicious wounding by mob, two counts of used of a firearm in commission of a felony and one count of conspiracy to use a firearm in the commission of a felony.
  • Wanya Daquan Leggett, 21, of the 3100 block of Chesapeake Drive in Dumfries, was charged with one count of conspiracy to commit a carjacking and two counts of conspiracy to commit malicious wounding by mob.
  • Antoinette Zhane Spinner, 18, of the 15200 block of Flintlock Terrace in Woodbridge, was charged with one count of carjacking, two counts of malicious wounding by mob, one count of conspiracy to commit a carjacking and one count of conspiracy to commit malicious wounding by mob.

Shortly before 8 p.m. on the 20th, police responded to a reported carjacking. The two male victims, 19 and 20, said the picked up a female in the area of Dale Boulevard and Gideon Drive. They then drove to an area in Georgetown Village before stopping. That's when three unknown gun-wielding men approached the vehicle. They struck both victims with their guns, pulled them out of the vehicle, got inside and sped away, along with the female. The vehicle was later found unoccupied in Woodbridge.
