PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA – A Woodbridge man was sentenced to nearly 200 years in prison for a 2020 double homicide, the Prince William County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office announced Monday.
Karriem Jackson, 31, was found guilty of two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of aggravated malicious wounding, four counts of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and one count of maliciously discharging a firearm in an occupied building in August 2025.
The charges stemmed from a 2020 incident in which prosecutors said Jackson got into an argument at a Dale City house party with a resident of the home. Jackson pulled out a handgun and hit the resident over the head with it.
When Jackson was told to leave the party, he instead fired multiple times into the crowd, killing Christopher Alan Johnson and Frank Chineji Sapele and seriously injuring two other people.
Jackson was sentenced on Friday to 198 years in prison with 55 years suspended, leaving 143 active years to serve.
In a press release, Commonwealth’s Attorney Amy Ashworth said, “It is a tragedy that two lives were ended in a senseless act of gun violence. While the sentence imposed today cannot bring the victims back, it does send a clear message that this kind of violent criminal behavior will not be tolerated in our community.”
