WOODBRIDGE, VA – Prince William County police are looking for a 13-year-old Woodbridge boy they say shot a family member during an argument.
According to the Prince William County Police Department, the argument took place Sunday night at a residence on the 15500 block of Lebourget Court in Woodbridge. Officers responded to the residence at 10:36 p.m., where they say a 13-year-old boy shot an 18-year-old woman with a firearm he got from inside the home. Police say the two had been in an argument when the 13-year-old retrieved the gun and shot the woman once, grazing her in the upper body. The 13-year-old then fled.
Police looked for the boy, but have not been able to find him. The victim was taken to a hospital with injuries that are not thought to be life-threatening.
The boy, who police will not identify due to his age, is wanted for aggravated malicious wounding, using a firearm in commission of a felony, shooting in an occupied dwelling and juvenile possession of a firearm.
