PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA — Prince William County will mark the 25th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks with a remembrance ceremony honoring 22 county residents and nearly 3,000 others who lost their lives that day.
The ceremony will begin at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 10 at Sean T. Connaughton Plaza, located at 1 County Complex Court.
Members of the Board of County Supervisors and the community will gather for an evening of remembrance, reflection and music. The event will include personal reflections from people whose lives were changed by the attacks.
Continuing an annual county tradition, the names of the 22 Prince William County residents who died on Sept. 11, 2001, will be read during the ceremony.
The Madrigal Choir from Osbourn Park High School will also perform.
