WOODBRIDGE, VA — A Woodbridge man accused of secretly recording children and possessing thousands of child sexual abuse images and videos is scheduled to appear in federal court this week for a pre-indictment plea hearing.
Jackson Quentin Crocker is facing a federal charge of sexual exploitation of children. His plea hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday before U.S. District Judge Anthony Trenga in Alexandria, according to federal court records.
The federal case stems from an FBI investigation that began in December 2023 as a fraud probe, according to an affidavit filed in U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. During that investigation, agents said they discovered suspected child sexual abuse material in Crocker's iCloud account and searches related to such material in his Google account.
The FBI searched Crocker's home on Chelmer Court in Woodbridge on Oct. 28, 2025, and seized a 6-terabyte external hard drive connected to a desktop computer in a basement office, according to the affidavit. Investigators said the hard drive contained a hidden, encrypted partition.
A forensic review uncovered thousands of suspected child sexual abuse images and videos, including thousands of videos investigators believe were recorded using hidden cameras placed in a bathroom at Crocker's home, the affidavit said. The recordings allegedly showed several minors who appeared unaware they were being filmed.
Investigators also said they found videos allegedly depicting Crocker sexually abusing sleeping children. The FBI said three girls shown in those videos were between 8 and 9 years old when they were recorded in 2016 and 2018.
So far, the FBI has identified 11 children in the hidden-camera and other self-produced videos, investigators said. They ranged in age from 3 to 16 when the recordings were made, according to court documents.
Federal investigators claim Crocker's conduct spanned at least from March 2008 through October 2025.
Prince William County police initially arrested Crocker during the October search and charged him under Virginia law with possession of child pornography, according to the FBI affidavit.
Federal authorities filed a criminal complaint against Crocker on June 30, and an arrest warrant was executed July 1. A magistrate judge found probable cause following a July 8 preliminary hearing, and Crocker waived his right to a detention hearing at that time. He was ordered held in federal custody.
A judge later extended the government's deadline to seek an indictment through Friday. The newly scheduled plea hearing comes one day before that deadline.
