HAYMARKET, VA — Maddie Gierber has been named executive director of Rainbow Therapeutic Riding Center, a Haymarket nonprofit serving children and adults through equine-assisted programs, InsideNoVa reported.
Gierber joined the organization as a weekend barn manager in 2012 and became program director in 2024. She will oversee 10 employees, 10 therapy horses and programs serving more than 300 Northern Virginia students and their families each year, according to the report.
Gierber succeeds Inga Janke, who led the center for 11 years as it expanded from about 1,000 lessons annually to more than 3,000. Janke will remain with the organization in an advisory role through the end of 2026.
