📰 News we're reading

• Prince William County Police Seek Man Accused Of Threatening CVS Employees With Box Cutter (patch.com) — Police are searching for a man who reportedly jumped the counter and threatened two employees with a box cutter and aerosol can at the CVS on Richmond Highway in Woodbridge before taking a lighter and leaving. No one was injured, but investigators are asking Woodbridge residents with information to contact the Prince William County Police tipline or submit an online tip.

• Prince William County to tow cars with 3 or more unpaid parking tickets (fox5dc.com) — Starting October 1, Prince William County police will tow vehicles with three or more unpaid parking tickets, a change that could hit many Woodbridge drivers as over 3,000 cars already qualify. Residents interviewed in Woodbridge shared mixed feelings, but officials stress that drivers can avoid towing by arranging and following a payment plan with the police department's Licensing Section.

• A welcome center for immigrants is coming to Lincolnia (annandaletoday.com) — Woodbridge residents already familiar with CASA's local welcome center will soon see its model expanded, as the group builds a larger Fairfax Welcome Center in Lincolnia offering similar services. The new site will provide English classes, legal and immigration help, job connections, and health referrals, aiming to serve thousands of immigrants and working families across Northern Virginia by 2027.
