• Rideshare Driver Traps Women In Car Over Price Dispute: Police (patch.com) — Woodbridge residents using a Lyft ride from Maryland say their driver locked them in his car on Noble Fir Court after they refused to pay him directly instead of through the app. Police report the driver briefly continued driving before letting the women out, and he now faces abduction and reckless driving charges. The women were not injured.

• Man accused of using water gun in attempted armed robbery in Manassas arrested (wjla.com) — Police say an attempted robbery started at the Salvation Army in Woodbridge, where a Brinks employee was confronted by a man who allegedly pointed a water gun and demanded cash. The worker refused, and officers later arrested a suspect now charged with attempted robbery and held without bond pending a court date.
