Woodbridge ceremony honors the 22 lives lost on 9/11 (dcnewsnow.com) — Woodbridge residents joined others at the Prince William County Government Center to honor the 22 county residents who died in the 9/11 attacks, 25 years later. Speakers, including a Woodbridge flight attendant and local families, reflected on loss, courage, and gratitude as they viewed a New York fire truck display that will remain on-site through September 18.
2. U.S. Marshals Bring Virginia Fugitive's Run to an End in Norway, Maine (usmarshals.gov) — A man wanted by Prince William County police for an August 7 domestic violence incident in Woodbridge has been arrested in Norway, Maine, after a multi-agency fugitive search. U.S. Marshals and local Maine officers stopped a Virginia-registered vehicle, took the suspect into custody without incident, and he now faces extradition back to Virginia on outstanding warrants.
3. Lyft driver accused of preventing 2 women from leaving car following fare dispute (washingtontimes.com) — Prince William County police say a Lyft driver faces abduction and reckless driving charges after allegedly refusing to let two women out of his car during a fare dispute in Woodbridge early Sunday. Investigators report the driver briefly drove off before releasing the passengers, who were not injured, and have now issued a warrant while seeking tips on his whereabouts.
4. InsideNoVa moves to Old Town Manassas (insidenova.com) — InsideNoVa has relocated its office from Woodbridge to Historic Manassas, aiming to be closer to the government centers and events it regularly covers. The regional news outlet, which had been based in Woodbridge since 2016, continues publishing its Prince William newspaper, website, and magazines serving communities across Northern and Piedmont Virginia.
