2. 2 More Teen Boys Arrested Over Woodbridge Tobacco Shop Burglary: Police (patch.com) β Woodbridge readers are learning more about a late-night August break-in at the Tobacco King on Minnieville Road, where vape products were stolen and suspects fled in a stolen vehicle. Police say two Woodbridge teens are the latest to be arrested, bringing the total to three juveniles charged so far in the five-suspect burglary case.

Gynecological surgeon injures patient with incorrect incision (valawyersweekly.com) β A Prince William County jury awarded $2.65 million to a patient injured during gynecologic surgery at Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in Woodbridge, after a surgeon mistakenly cut into her rectum. The woman endured intensive care, a temporary ileostomy, multiple follow-up procedures, and ongoing pain, with experts testifying the surgeon failed to follow standard anatomical safeguards.

WEEKEND FREDLINES: 'LGBTQ+ middle schoolers took a conservative Virginia school board to court to protect their rights β and won,' and other local news (fxbgadvance.com) β Residents across Prince William County, including at least one in Woodbridge, reported a strong sulfur or rotten-egg smell Saturday, prompting more than 20 gas-leak calls but no identified source or safety orders. The news roundup also highlights a student civil-rights win in King George, new secure SNAP EBT cards statewide, Fredericksburg's tiny-home homelessness project, Stafford eminent-domain talks, and local students' National Merit honors.
