PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA – Occoquan's Fall Arts and Crafts Show returns this weekend with hundreds of vendors, live demonstrations, a beer garden and more.
The major fall arts festival will feature two full days of events. In addition to craft demonstrations and music and comedy performances, multiple classes will be offered on crafts like clay sculpting, watercolor painting and flower arranging, among others.
This year, organizers have introduced an Art Park to the festival, which they describe as a destination "of creative demonstrations and immersive art experiences."
According to the county, more than 300 vendors in more than 20 categories will be present at this year's festival. Organizers say the event attracts 16,000 to 18,000 people to the town.
As the festival takes over most of Occoquan's downtown, several streets will be closed over the weekend. From 8 a.m. Saturday to 8 p.m. Sunday, Mill, Commerce, Union, and Washington Streets will be closed, and Ellicott Street from Mill Street to Center Lane. No parking will be allowed on those streets from 10 p.m. on Friday until 8 p.m. on Sunday.
The festival will run from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 26 and 27. It is free to attend and will go on rain or shine. The schedule can be found here.
