Annandale Man Arrested For Sexually Assaulting Girl: Police

WOODBRIDGE, VA — Prince William County Police arrested an Annandale man Nov. 17 for allegedly sexually assaulting an 8-year-old girl at a residence in Woodbridge. The victim reported the Nov. 16 incident to a family member who then notified the police.

The police department's special victims unit conducted an investigation in which it found that Catalino Torres Laines, 64, had sexually assaulted the girl on Nov. 16 as well as on other occasions. The investigation also revealed that the suspect was an acquaintance of the victim, the police said in a Nov. 25 incident report.

Torres Laines, who lives on Little River Turnpike in Annandale, was charged with four counts of aggravated sexual battery and is being held in jail without bond. A court date is pending.
