Police Seek Suspect In Woodbridge Bank Robbery: Update

Prince William County police are searching for a man they say robbed BB&T Bank in Woodbridge Wednesday.

Editor's Note: An earlier version of this story stated police were searching for two suspects related to the robbery. Police issued an update last night to state only one suspect is wanted in connection with the incident.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — Prince William County police are searching for a single suspect in connection with a Woodbridge bank robbery Wednesday. According to police, a man robbed BB&T Bank at 16541 River Ridge Blvd. around 3:10 p.m.

Police said the unknown man entered the bank and approached a teller. He then passed a note to the teller which demanded money and stated he was armed. The suspect fled the scene on foot with an undisclosed amount of money, police said. No injuries were reported.

Police said the suspect is between 33-37 years of age. He is about five-feet seven-inches tall and weighs about 170 pounds. The suspect's race is unknown, but he was described as having a dark complexion. He was last seen wearing a dark colored hat, gray hooded sweatshirt, black glasses and gloves.
