Assault and Abduction in Woodbridge: Police
The female victim told Prince William County Police a male acquaintance assaulted her and then prevented her from leaving a residence.
WOODBRIDGE, VA — A man assaulted a female acquaintance in Woodbridge early Monday afternoon and then prevented her from leaving the residence, according to Prince William County Police.
Deshawn Terrell Martin, 31, of no fixed address, was charged with abduction and domestic assault and battery.
At 12:3p p.m., police were called to investigate a potential domestic assault in the 15000 block of Illinois Avenue.

The victim, 38, of Woodbridge, told police she and the suspect had been arguing, and the confrontation escalated, after which he allegedly assaulted her and didn't allow her to leave.
They eventually separated and the victim called police. Minor injuries were reported.
