Attempted Stabbing Thwarted In Woodbridge: Police
A man tried to stab a male acquaintance Saturday night in Woodbridge and then refused to leave when authorities arrived: PWC Police.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A man tried to stab a male acquaintance Saturday night in the 2400 block of Tendril Court and then refused to leave when authorities arrived, according to Prince William County. Ben Webster, Jr., 67, of the aforementioned address, was charged with attempted malicious wounding, assault and battery and obstruction of justice. He's being held without bond.
Shortly after 7:30 p.m., officers responded to the scene for a reported assault. The victim, 39, said he and Webster were in an argument that escalated, during which Webster grabbed a knife and tried to stab the other man. They eventually separated and the victim called police. When they arrived and he refused to exit the residence, officers entered through an unlocked rear door and arrested him. (For more local news, click here to sign up for real-time news alerts.
