Attempted Vehicle Theft Leaves Victim Unconscious In Woodbridge
Two men attempting to steal a vehicle early Sunday night in Woodbridge knocked out the owner after being confronted: PWC Police.
WOODBRIDGE, VA — Two men attempting to steal a vehicle early Sunday night were confronted by the owner, who was then assaulted and knocked out in the 13400 block of Occoquan Road, according to Prince William County Police. Lester Hermes Escalante and Ivan Adelso Escalante, both 30 and both of the 1200 block of Davis Street, were charged with robbery, malicious wounding, grand larceny and conspiracy to commit grand larceny. They're being held without bond.
Around 5 p.m., police responded to the scene for a report of several people fighting. Upon their arrival, they found the victim, 29, of Woodbridge. He told police he was returning to his vehicle from a nearby business when he saw two unknown men trying to steal it. After confronting them, a fight broke out, during which he was knocked unconscious.

The victim was treated at the scene and then taken to a local hospital. The suspects fled the area and witnesses contacted police. An investigation led to warrants being issued for the suspects. They were found and arrested later that night while leaving their residence.
