Description: Build a 19th Century skiff replica for Leesylvania State Park’s Visitor Center.  Participants will build without power tools, epoxy, or toxic materials.  No previous boat building knowledge is required, all materials and tools will be supplied.  We will make our own oars, spars, sails, and boat fittings.  Experience a part of history and learn the Boatwright’s art of building without plans; working by hand and eye to create an authentic watercraft of the Potomac River.  Appropriate for 13 years and up.  Please R.S.V.P. by May 9 for your spot!

This workshop is a four Saturday progression and will start on May 16th and continue on each Saturday until June 6th.
