Bomb Threat in Drive-Thru Robbery Attempt at Bank: Police

Suspect fled with no cash. Prince William County Police release description.

Prince William County Police are investigating a robbery attempt Wednesday morning that involved a man on a bike who told the drive-thru teller he had a bomb.

Police responded to the back at 10:10 a.m. The location has not been released.

Employees told police that a man on a black or dark bicycle approached the teller window and demanded money. He indicated he had a bomb in his backpack, according to police spokesperson Officer Jonathan Perok.

No money was taken and the suspect fled the area before officers arrived.

Police describe the suspect as a White or light skinned male, in his early to mid-20’s, about 5’11”, 150lbs with a thin build. He was last seen wearing all black or dark colored clothing included a hat, aviator style glasses and a bandana.
