Boston Marathon Bomb Materials Analyzed at Quantico

FBI lab handling investigation of bombs used in Monday explosion.

The bomb materials collected at the scene of the Boston Marathon explosion on Monday have been sent to Quantico for analysis, according to several news reports, including Reuters.

It's believed at least one of the two bombs was built using a pressure cooker. According to the Reuters report, the bombs are being reconstructed at the FBI laboratory in Quantico, said Richard DesLauriers, the Federal Bureau of Investigation's special agent in charge for Boston.

"Among items partially recovered are pieces of black nylon which could be from a backpack and what appear to be fragments of BBs (ball bearings) and nails possibly contained in a pressure cooker device," DesLauriers told a news conference.
