Healthy Holidays - We Have Food Tips

Tips for keeping holiday weight gain off!

Are you feeling overwhelmed already about what to eat this holiday season to stay on track?  The average American will gain 9-15 pounds between now (Thanksgiving) and January 1st when we dive into our New Years Resolutions.  Here are a few simple tips to help you stay ahead of the eating curve.

  1. Party or Celebrating Days - eat how you would normally throughout the day and then have the big meal.
  2. Let me repeat that one - DO NOT SKIP MEALS IN LIEU OF THE BIG MEAL, when you skip meals you will cause your body to overeat at the one big meal
  3. Exercise - a walk, parking at the back of the mall - a little bit of exercise will keep everything in your body moving
  4. Drink - um...no, I am not talking alcohol here, do that in moderation; make sure you drink plenty of water.
