Burglar Stabs Homeowner in Struggle: Police
Victim came home to find the unknown burglar in his bedroom, according to Prince William County Police.

A late-night burglary Tuesday ended with the homeowner treated for stab wounds to the face and neck, according to Prince William County Police.
The injuries are not life threatening. The burglary was not random.
Officers responded at 11:18 p.m. to the home in the 3300 block of Vineland Pl in Dumfries regarding a burglary in progress.

The victim, 46, of Dumfries was found with the serious injuries.
Investigators determined the victim returned to the home to find the unknown man wearing a mask standing in the victim's bedroom while attempting to take property.

A struggle ensued and another resident tried to intervene. The burglar then pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim.
The victim and the other resident fled the home and contacted police. The suspect fled the home through the back door.
There were no signs of forced entry into the residence.
