Car Thief Also Wanted for Hit and Run Arrested in Dumfries: Police
He had been wanted by Prince William County since Nov. 1 after stealing a vehicle, crashing it into another vehicle and fleeing on foot.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A man who stole a vehicle before crashing it into another vehicle and fleeing on foot from officers early last month on Jefferson Davis Highway was arrested Sunday, according to Prince William County Police.
Dwayne Hakeem Westfield, 24, of the 2500 block of Sedgewick Place in Dumfries was charged with felony eluding, possession of stolen property, felony hit and run and driving with no operator's license.
His passenger, Adrien D'Lante Jackson, 24, was arrested Nov. 2 and charged with possession of stolen property.

Shortly after 11:30 p.m. Nov. 1, an officer was in the area of Bel Air Road and Saxophone Way investigating an unrelated call when the cruiser's Automated License Plate Reader flagged a stolen vehicle driving past the officer, who alerted other officers to be on the lookout.
He was spotted heading south on Jefferson Davis Highway, and officers tried to pull him over near Opitz Boulevard but he accelerated and then, while trying to turn onto Dale Boulevard, he lost control and hit a vehicle driven by a 34-year-old Woodbridge man.

Westfield then fled on foot, and Jackson was arrested.
