A girl was hit by a vehicle in Lake Ridge on Monday, according to police. Authorities said the girl suffered life-threatening injuries.

LAKE RIDGE, VA — A child suffered life-threatening injuries on Monday when a vehicle hit her, the Prince William County Police Department said.
Authorities told Patch that a helicopter flew the child to a hospital for treatment. The Prince William County Police Department has not provided detailed information about the child, including her age or name.
No charges have been filed in connection with the crash.

First responders received a call around 6 p.m. on Monday evening. The police department said a vehicle was driving on Nutmeg Court when it struck the child.
An ambulance transported the child before a helicopter arrived to take her to a hospital for specialized treatment.
