Cop Assaulted With Unknown Substance in Woodbridge: Police

While investigating a domestic dispute, Prince William County Police came upon an irate man who sprayed an officer with the substance.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A man who had the not-so-good idea of spraying an officer with an unknown substance during a simple investigation of a domestic argument Monday in the 4200 block of Gibson Court is now in jail and being held without bond, according to Prince William County Police.

George Richardson, Jr., 36, of the 2200 block of Montgomery Avenue in Woodbridge, was charged with assault and battery on a law enforcement.

No injuries were reported.

Shortly after 11 p.m., officers arrived at the residence to investigate the incident, after which Richardson became irate and began to spray.
