On the Roads
Around 7:21 a.m., the left side of northbound I-95 near Franconia Road was blocked by a crash.

At 7:19 a.m., the left lane of southbound D.C. 295 near Benning Road NE was blocked by a disabled truck.
Throughout the morning, MacArthur Boulevard was shut down in both directions from Maryland Avenue to Sangamore Road due to downed wires and a fallen tree.
At 6:57 a.m., a crash slowed traffic on eastbound VA-7 near Baron Cameron Avenue. Drivers should proceed with caution in the area.
Throughout the morning, a work zone closed both directions of East Capitol Street between 2nd Street and 3rd Street.
Throughout the morning, a work zone blocked lanes of westbound I-66 between Fairfax County Parkway and US-29. The right lane gets by the work zone.
A long term work zone blocks the ramp of I-66 eastbound to westbound US-50.
On the Rails
On the Orange Line, the Minnesota Ave, Deanwood, Cheverly, Landover and New Carrollton remain closed through Labor Day due to a summer platform improvement project. Local and express shuttles are available at Stadium-Armory.
Weather
It will be hot, humid, and sunny throughout the day on Monday with high temperatures in the low 90s. The heat index will approach 97 degrees.
