Creigh Deeds Stabbed, Son Killed, According to Report

Former Virginia gubernatorial candidate being treated at University of Virginia Medical Center, according to reports.

Virginia state Sen. Creigh Deeds is in critical condition from a stabbing and his son is dead from a gunshot wound, according to a Richmond Times-Dispatch report.

Deeds, a Bath County Democrat, ran for governor in 2009.

Deeds is being treated at the University of Virginia Medical Center, according to The Times-Dispatch.

Virginia State Police are processing the scene of an assault at Deeds' home, according to a news release.
