Crossing Guards Needed For Prince William County Schools

Prince William County Police are looking for part-time crossing guards to work in Lake Ridge, Woodbridge, Dale City and Dumfries.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — Are you interested in working as a school crossing guard? If so, Prince William County Police are looking to fill several part-time positions throughout the county. According to police, crossing guards are needed in Lake Ridge, Woodbridge, Dale City and Dumfries.

Crossing guards have an opportunity to perform protective service work by ensuring the safety of children at intersections and crosswalks while they are going to and from school. The work involves directing children and adults across streets, guiding and controlling vehicle traffic, and communicating effectively with children and adults.

  • Satisfactorily complete in-house field training.
  • Possess a valid driver's license.
  • Pass a DMV record check, background investigation, credit check and employment physical.
  • Be proficient in the operation of motor vehicles and have suitable driving record.
