Dead Body Found, Raising Cane's Fight: PWC Crime Report

Prince William County Police are investigating a dead body found in the woods and other incidents reported Wednesday.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — The discovery of a dead body in Woodbridge is one of the incidents Prince William County Police responded to Wednesday.

Police were called to the 1700 block of Featherstone Road around 9:21 p.m. Wednesday. Police say the body of a presumed man was found in a decomposed state in a wooded area. The body was taken to the medical examiner for an autopsy and to identify the person.

Police do not believe there is a threat to the community from the death. The investigation continues.

Aggravated Malicious Wounding/Strangulation: On August 21 at 11:39PM, officers responded to Raising Cane’s located at 9501 Liberia Ave. in Manassas (20110) to investigate a fight. The investigation revealed the victims, two 19-year-old men, and an unknown man, later identified as the accused, were involved in a verbal altercation that escalated. During the encounter, the accused struck one of the victims in the face before grabbing the other victim around the neck. Manassas Park police assisted in separating the parties and detained the accused before he was turned over to Prince Wiliam County officers without further incident. One victim was treated at an area hospital for a non-life threatening injury. Additional minor injuries were reported. Following the investigation, the accused, identified as Sebastian Anthony Taipe-Quispe, was arrested.

Armed Robbery: On August 21 at 3:42PM, officers responded to Castro Bakery located at 14556 Potomac Mills Rd. in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a robbery. The investigation revealed an unknown man entered the bakery and implied he had a weapon before walking behind the service counter. The employees ran out of the store and contacted the police. The suspect took money from the cash register before leaving the business. No weapon was seen, and no injuries were reported.
