Delivery Driver Wounded in Assault in Woodbridge
Man taking food to a customer over the weekend when he was attacked from behind, according to Prince William County Police.
A Lorton man was attacked over the weekend in a Woodbridge area incident Friday night, according to the Prince William County Police department.
Police responded to a call regarding a malicious wounding at 10:38 a.m. Friday in the 1300 block of Bayside Avenue.
The victim, 51, told officers that he was delivering food to an address in the area. When he didn’t get an answer at the door, he was returning to his car.

At that point, an unknown person attacked him from behind, striking him several times with a bat or a similar object, according to PWCPD.
Nothing was taken from the victim. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Police describe the suspect as a black male wearing dark clothing.
