Driver Crashes, Kills Woodbridge Woman Walking Dog On Sidewalk
A Woodbridge woman walking her dog died Sunday from injuries sustained in a crash that occurred Friday afternoon, the police said.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A woman walking her dog in Woodbridge died Sunday from injuries sustained in a crash that occurred Friday afternoon in the area of Cardinal Drive and Swan Way, according to the Prince William County Police Department.
Police responded to a call at around 2:25 p.m. Friday to the area to investigate a crash involving a pedestrian. The police determined that the driver of a 2007 Lexus IS 250 was traveling eastbound on Cardinal Drive when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a pedestrian who was walking her dog on a sidewalk. The vehicle remained on the scene.
The woman who died in the crash was identified as Deborah Lynn Talbot, 50, of Woodbridge. Talbot was flown to an area hospital where she later died on Sunday as a result of her injuries. Talbot's dog was located and was not injured, the Prince William County police said.

Alcohol or drug use were not factors in the collision, according to the police.
The driver of the Lexus was identified as a 19-year-old woman from Woodbridge. She was transported to an area hospital for precautionary reasons where she was treated and released.

The police said they are continuing their investigation into the fatal crash.
