Driver Kills 30-Year-Old Man In Woodbridge Hit-And-Run: Police

After hitting the pedestrian, the red sedan continued eastbound on Caton Hill Road toward the Prince William County Parkway.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A pedestrian was killed Tuesday night in Woodbridge when the driver of a red sedan struck a 30-year-old man and then fled the scene. The pedestrian, identified as John Tumuti Nganga, was walking in the area of the intersection of Caton Hill Road and Telegraph Road at 7:15 p.m. when he was struck by the vehicle, according to the Prince William County Police Department.

Nganga was transported to an area hospital where he died as a result of his injuries from the hit-and-run. No other injuries were reported. After hitting Nganga, the red sedan continued eastbound on Caton Hill Road toward the Prince William County Parkway. The police said it is unclear if Nganga was struck within the crosswalk at the intersection or if he had the signal to cross.
