Driver Picked Up Pedestrian, Exposed Himself, Attempted Assault: Cops

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A driver in Woodbridge picked up a pedestrian and tried to sexually assault her, the Prince William County Police Department said.

The victim, a 29-year-old woman, did not report any injuries.

Authorities are still working to identify a suspect. Investigators said he is a Hispanic man in his 40s with a thin build. He was bald and had hairy hands. The police department said the suspect was wearing a green sweater and dark pants.

The incident occurred late on Saturday or before 3 a.m. on Sunday, the police department said in a report. The victim told police that she was walking in the area of Forestdale Avenue and Fullerton Road. The suspect pulled up beside her in a white sedan offered her a ride; she accepted, authorities said.

"During the ride, the victim asked to get out of the vehicle and the driver refused," the police department said in a report. 'At one point during the encounter, the driver exposed himself and made inappropriate gestures before attempting to touch the victim."

The victim kept trying to exit the vehicle. The suspect eventually drove the victim to her home, according to the police report.
