Drug-Crazed Man Fires Shots From Balcony In Dumfries: Police
A man high on PCP fired shots while standing on an apartment balcony and screaming early Sunday in Dumfries: Prince William County Police.
DUMFRIES, VA—A man high on PCP fired shots while standing on an apartment balcony and screaming early Sunday in the 3500 block of Briarwood Drive, according to Prince William County Police. One of the bullets hit an occupied apartment but no injuries were reported.
Jason Michael Dematty, 33, of the aforementioned address, was arrested and charged with shooting into an occupied dwelling, reckless handling of a firearm, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm with controlled substances, possession of a schedule I or II narcotic and possession of marijuana.
Shortly after 1 a.m., police responded to Briarwood Apartments for a reported shooting. Several callers said an unknown man was screaming and shooting a gun from a balcony. Officers heard a gunshot coming from inside an apartment, went in the front door, found Dematty and arrested him without incident.
