Drunk Man Assaults Cop Sunday in Woodbridge: Police
When officers responded to a report of a possibly intoxicated man, according to Prince William County Police, the man turned violent.
WOODBRIDGE, VA — An apparently intoxicated man kicked an officer in the lower body Sunday night at a business in the 5400 block of Mapledale Plaza in Woodbridge, according to Prince William County Police.
Robert Joseph Underwood, 31, of the 13200 block of Queensdale Drive, was charged with assault and battery on a law enforcement officer and being intoxicated in public.
He's being held without bond.

Shortly before 7:30 p.m., police responded to the scene to investigate a potentially intoxicated person. Yep, police decided, he was intoxicated, so when they tried to arrest him he kicked a cop.
No injuries were reported.
