Drunk Woman Assaults Cops In Woodbridge: Police

WOODBRIDGE, VA—A drunk woman was pepper sprayed and arrested Saturday night after assaulting an officer in the 6000 block of Ticket Way, according to Prince William County Police. Karly Angela Cruz, 35, of the 15500 block of Horseshoe Lane, was charged with assault & battery on a LEO, resisting arrest and intoxicated in public.

Shortly after 9:30 p.m., police went to the scene for a reported disorderly person. The quickly figured out she was intoxicated but while putting her in a cruiser she resisted and repeatedly kicked an officer in the leg. Out came the pepper spray, and she was detained without further incident. No injuries were reported.
