Drunk Women Tasered, Maced After Assaulting Cops: PWC Police
Two out-of-control drunk women wantonly assaulted multiple officers early Sunday in Woodbridge, according to Prince William County Police.
WOODBRIDGE, VA—Two out-of-control drunk women wantonly assaulted multiple officers early Monday in the 5300 block of Qualey Place, according to Prince William County Police. One woman was brought under control with pepper spray, and the other was Tasered.
Demetria Le Rhonda Bryant, 26, of the 14400 block of Minnieville Road in Woodbridge, was charged with assault and battery on a law enforcement officer, possession of a schedule I or II narcotic, obstruction of justice and intoxicated in public. Shatie Nicole Thrower, 30, of the 5300 block of Qualey Place in Woodbridge, was charged with two counts of assault and battery on a law enforcement officer, disorderly conduct and intoxicated in public.
Around 12:50 a.m., officers responded to the 13600 block of Mapledale Avenue area for a vehicle crash, and that led them to a home in the 5300 block of Qualey Place in an attempt to make contact with the vehicle's registered owner.

When they arrived, Bryant was standing outside the home and became agitated and disorderly. Police determined she was intoxicated and arrested her. When they attempted to put her in the cruiser, she resisted and kicked an officer in the arm. She was subdued with pepper spray, and narcotics were found on her when she was searched.
Shortly afterward, a resident of the home—Thrower—also became disorderly toward officers. When police tried to arrest her, she began kicking and swinging her arms at two officers. She then was Tasered and arrested without incident.

Minor injuries were reported. Police didn't say what became of the initial crash investigation.
