DUI Suspect Punches Cop in Woodbridge: Police

Suspect was arrested, taken to Gar-Field Police Station, and then hit an officer, according to Prince William County Police.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A suspected drunk driver was arrested Friday afternoon and taken into custody, after which the accused punched a cop at the jail, according to Prince William County Police.

Devin Lynette Deville, 25, of the 16800 block of Jed Forest Lane, was charged with assault and battery on a law enforcement officer, driving under the influence and unreasonable refusal.

Police stopped the suspect's vehicle in an area near Armstead Street and Horner Road for a traffic violation, after which they determined the suspect was intoxicated.

After being arrested and taken to the Gar-Field Police Station, the suspect struck an officer on the arm, according to police. The suspect then was secured, and no injuries were reported.

The suspect is being held without bond.
