DUMFRIES, VA — A man wanted for raping a woman Oct. 22 in the 2900 block of Gilder Way was arrested Friday in Spotsylvania by the U.S. Marshals fugitive task force, according to Prince William County Police. Demont Quentez Lewis, 34, of no fixed address, was charged with two counts of rape, one count of burglary with the intent to rape, one count of abduction, one count of stalking, one count of threatening phone call and one count of preventing the summoning of law enforcement.
When police went to the sexual assault scene, the victim, 33, said Lewis called her multiple times between midnight and 1:15 a.m. threatening her. Shortly thereafter, he broke through two doors and entered the residence before breaking into her bedroom. He then took her cell phone so she couldn't call police and raped her.
Lewis left the residence around 2 p.m., and the woman called police. Further investigation found he already was wanted by county police for related incidents involving the victim. He was found at a residence in Spotsylvania.
