Elderly Woman Abducted In Her Own Home in Woodbridge: Police

One of the abductors was a family member, according to Prince William County Police.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — Two people, including a relative, who abducted a 76-year-old woman inside her home in the 900 block of Burke Drive, dragged her back inside when she tried to leave and then locked her in room were arrested Saturday, according to Prince William County Police.

Alexander William Atkinson, 22 (above), of the 900 block of Burke Drive, was charged with abduction and resisting arrest.

Lauren Renee Wilson, 23 (inset, the family member), of the 900 block of Burke Drive, was charged with abduction.

Both are being held without bond.

Around 1 p.m., police responded to the scene after the victim managed to briefly leave the home and yell for help, after which a neighbor called authorities.

Atkinson, Wilson's boyfriend, allegedly tried to flee through a rear door but was caught.
