Election Results 2015: Statehouse, Local Races Decided

Every seat in the Virginia general assembly is on the ballot, along with county offices in the Woodbridge area.

Voters in the Woodbridge area headed to the polls on Tuesday to fill seats in the state’s General Assembly, as well as county offices in Prince William County.

Incumbent Republican Dick Black successfully defended his Va. Senate seat representing District 13. And newcomer Jeremy McPike kept District 29 as a Democrat districts.

Controversial Clerk of Court Michele McQuigg won re-election, along with Commonwealth’s Attorney Paul Ebert.

In the County Council races, Corey Stewart won re-election as board chairman and Maureen Caddigan and Frank Principi each kept their seats in competitive races. Ruth Anderson won election to the board for the open Occoquan District seat.

Ryan Sawyers was elected chairman of the Prince William County School Board.
