James Mangini at AT&T Potomac Town Place

Why would anyone run 1,000 miles in 30 days?

James Mangini’s father, great grandfather, distant cousin …. – in total 7 relatives have Parkinson’s disease. James, meanwhile, is starting to show early signs.

Inspired by his father’s battle to live a productive life despite the debilitating illness, James, a former Army sergeant, is running 1,000-miles from his home near Charleston, S.C. to New York City to raise money for Parkinson’s research.

This is an amazing story and a good cause.

Please join us at our Potomac Town Place store to cheer James on as he enters Woodbridge, VA!  We would also appreciate it if you could share this information with your members – it would be great to get a crowd together to support James as he runs into Richmond.

James is posting photos, video and updates from his smartphone as he runs (AT&T is supporting James with data service as he makes his journey so people can follow him as he runs.)
