Teenagers 15 years and older who want to become a Lifeguard are invited to take a training course at . The American Red Cross Lifeguard Training course will teach students the fundamental skills required to become a lifeguard. Students who successfully complete the course will receive certifications in Lifegaurding, CPR/PR & AED, and First Aid.
In order to take this class, students must be at least 15 years old by the last day of class, be able to skim 300 yards continuously, surface dive into deep water to retrieve a 10-pound brick, and swim 20 yards holding the brick with both hands.
There is a $200 fee, which includes books, for this class. This class meets Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.
