Fatal Pedestrian Crash Under Investigation In Dale City: Police
A pedestrian crossing the street outside a crosswalk was killed in a crash overnight Tuesday, according to Prince William County Police.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A pedestrian was killed in a crash early Tuesday in Dale City, according to Prince William County Police.
The crash happened around 1:15 a.m. Tuesday on Dale Boulevard near Queensdale Drive. A 2013 Toyota Corolla was traveling north on Dale Boulevard when it struck a pedestrian crossing the street outside a crosswalk, police say.
The pedestrian was taken to the hospital and later died. He was identified as Daniel Kent Ryder, 37, of Woodbridge.

The 37-year-old driver from Woodbridge remained on the scene of the crash. Police say the visibility of the pedestrian was also impacted by dark clothing. Speed, alcohol and drugs are not believed to be factors in the crash.
The investigation into the crash continues.
