Fatal Two-Car Crash In Woodbridge Under Investigation: Police
The crash happened Thursday morning in the area of Minnieville Road and Fowke Lane in Woodbridge.
WOODBRIDGE, VA — Prince William County police are investigating a two-car crash that left a Woodbridge man dead. According to police, the crash happened Thursday morning just after 8 a.m. in the area of Minnieville Road and Fowke Lane in Woodbridge.
According to a police report, the driver of a 1997 Toyota Corolla — identified as a 69-year-old man from Woodbridge — was on Fowke Lane crossing Minnieville Road when the vehicle collided with a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck traveling northbound on Minnieville Road. The truck was driven by a 41-year-old Woodbridge man.
A passenger in the Toyota Corolla — identified as 85-year-old Maria Amaparo Ruiz of Woodbridge — was pronounced dead at the scene. The drivers of both vehicles were transported to area hospitals with serious injuries.
