Carnival Ride Accident In Woodbridge Sends Four Children To Hospital: Report
A swing ride caused chaos when it came to a sudden stop rather than slowing down gradually.
WOODBRIDGE, VA – Four children were injured at the Woodbridge Family Fun Extravaganza on the night of May 1 when a swing ride came to a sudden stop, the Prince William Times reports.
The “Funnel Force” ride, described as a “fast paced swing ride,” abruptly stopped as its swings were 20 or 30 feet above the ground, causing the individual swings to crash into each other or the ride, according to a witness cited in the report. The accident occurred around 10 p.m.
Seven people were evaluated and four children were taken to a nearby medical center for non-life-threatening injuries.
