Gang-Related Shooting Victim Identified In Woodbridge: Police

Authorities have released the name of a man shot and killed by suspected gang members in March, according to Prince William County Police.

WOODBRIDGE, VA—Authorities have released the name of a man shot and killed by suspected gang members in March and then stuffed in the trunk of his vehicle before it was set on fire at Veterans Park, according to Prince William County Police. He was identified as Santos Arquimidis Sorto Amaya, 25, of Woodbridge.

Four people are facing murder charges related to the incident. They are:

  • Manuel Enrique Robles Lopez, 21, of the 8100 block of Claremont Street (pictured).
  • Erick Alexander Contreras Navarro, 23, of the 8100 block of Claremont Street in Manassas.
  • Denis Ludwin Espinal Alvares, 19, of the 7600 block of Livingston Road in Oxon Hill, MD.
  • A 17-year-old of Woodbridge.

The victim was found shortly before 8 a.m. on March 15 after a citizen reported a burning vehicle at Veterans Park. The victim initially was reported as missing March 14 when he didn't show up for work and couldn't be reached. He was not known to the suspects and was not a member of a gang.
