Girl Arrested For Bomb Threat At Potomac Middle School: Police

A Potomac Middle School student whose threats against fellow students Monday were deemed not credible was arrested: PWC Police.

DUMFRIES, VA—A 14-year-old Potomac Middle School student whose threats against fellow students Monday morning were deemed not credible was arrested and charged with knowingly communicating a false threat to bomb, according to Prince William County Police.

Around 9:30 a.m., a School Resource Officer received information about a potential threat of violence. The officer found that a girl "made statements of potential violence to other students at the school" earlier that morning while walking down a hall.

After an investigation, the SRO identified the student and arrested her. The case is being handled by Juvenile Intake.
