Goodbye, Shoppers; Hello, Hobby Lobby: Readers React
Terrific! Terrible! Traffic! Change on Prince William Parkway sparked a lot of response from Patch readers.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — Hobby Lobby, a popular arts and crafts chain, will be opening a new location near Potomac Mills Mall, replacing the Shoppers grocery store.
The new store expects to open later this year, and some readers are very excited.
“I just heard angels sing!!!,” writes Anna. “Michaels is awful! Not too fond of Joanns either. I go to Fredericksburg for Hobby Lobby.”

But several residents are going to miss their Shoppers:

- “That was a good grocery store their bakery was amazing.”
- “Nooo... is that why there are entire sections missing food ??? It’s where I shop the most!!”
- “No more Cro-nuts!!!!!!!!! Noooooo!!!!”
And some readers take issue with Hobby Lobby.
The company was at the center of a Supreme Court battle over contraception insurance and employer mandates.
“This is not a place you should ever shop!” writes Diana.

And one reader pointed out a logistical concern for a busy destination like Hobby Lobby.
“Hope they realize how bad the traffic can get going in and out of that shopping center,” writes Matt.
