Home Alone: Child Left Unattended In Woodbridge ICYMI

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A woman was arrested Wednesday after leaving a 5-year-old boy home alone in the 2800 block of Chevoit Hill Circle, according to Prince William County Police. Reina Ayala, 25, of the aforementioned address, was charged with felony child neglect. She was identified as a family member of the child.

Shortly after 5:30 p.m., police responded to the scene for a report of child neglect. When they arrived, they found the child unattended inside the home. After further investigation, police found the boy had spent several hours home alone. The child was released to the custody of another family member.
