I Have A Dream

This article is about who is Martin Luther King Jr. and how it relates to Islam.

"If you can’t fly then run, if you can’t run then walk, if you can’t walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward." This is one of my favorite quotes of Martin Luther King Jr.

Martin Luther King Jr. Day is coming up tomorrow on January 15th. Dr. King was an activist and one of the most visible spokespeople known for promoting the rights of African Americans. His movement was aimed to end racial inequality in the United States. In his famous speech called "I Have a Dream”, he talked about stopping segregation and bringing racial equality. This speech touched many people's hearts and changed lives for many.

The Qur’an lays great emphasis on ending discrimination of all forms and says, “O mankind, We have created you from a male and a female; and We have made you into tribes and sub-tribes that you may recognize one another. Verily, the most honorable among you, in the sight of God, is he who is the most righteous among you...” (49:14).This verse explains that some people may be different from others but all should have equal rights. Don't judge people because of their differences as that is what makes people unique in their own way.
